Sometimes the perfect quilt pattern does exist, and thankfully I was able to find it! A little backstory… my nephew Jack adores Kirby. He has every game, plush, and toy imaginable. If it has Kirby on it, then he loves it. ❤ Jack has been overdue for a new quilt for a few years, so when I came upon the Happy Puffball Quilt Pattern by Quiltoni, I just knew I needed to make it for him!

Here is Jack opening his Happy Little Puffball Quilt at Christmas. Jack’s initial reaction of “oh it’s clothes.” was just too perfect! 🤣

Fabrics are Kona Cotton solids in Black, Med Pink, Azalea, Bubble Gum, and Bahama Blue. There is also a mystery red solid that I had in my stash. My original plan was to make Kirby’s shoes the darkest pink color (Kona Azalea), but my brother & nephew informed me that Kirby has red shoes.

The backing is a novelty print I grabbed at Joann, unfortunately the quilting cotton is out of stock, but it looks like the fleece version is still available.

The quilting plan came from my awesome friend Kitty @nightquilter. I love that it looks like Kirby is flying through the air. Today is Jack’s 11th birthday and it felt like a perfect day to finally publish this post. 🥰
