Clementine Quilt Along – March Block

Hello! Welcome to another month of the Fat Quarter Shop Clementine Quilt Along benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Fat Quarter Shop is happy to be partnering with Moda Fabrics to match up to $20,000 of donations for this awesome cause. And, on top of that, they will auction their version of the Clementine Quilt Along quilt at the end of the program, with 100% of the auction proceeds going toward the St. Jude campaign!

I am making my version of the quilt using the kit offered at FQS. The fabric collection featured is Mama’s Cottage by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabric. I love the vintage vibe of the floral & paisley prints, and the bright primary colors are to die for.

Peaches a Plenty Block – March 2018

The March block is the Peaches a Plenty block, one I’ve never made before but absolutely love! It is a simple combination of half square triangles and flying geese, and it comes together much smoother than it would lead you to believe. Each month there are directions for a large 20 inch block, and a small 12 inch block. I’m still working on the 12″ but the 20 inch is so awesome! How fun would an entire quilt out of this block be?

For a video tutorial on this block, check out this video by FQS. I really hope that you can join in the fun as well as donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
