Adeline Quilt Pattern by Racini’s Quilts

Today I am excited to share my version of the new Adeline Quilt Pattern by Racini’s Quilts. The Adeline Quilt pattern is highly customizable and contains templates for all 26 letters of the alphabet, so you can personalize the first column however you like. Since this is a Christmas gift for my oldest William, I used all his favorite shades of blue for the fabric.

Throughout the year I have been trying hard to sew with fabrics from my stash. I was able to make this quilt with only stash and scraps. The only fabric I purchased was the minky backing because I don’t keep that type of backing in my stash.

One problem I faced while making this quilt is that I cut one of the side borders wrong. The left border width is what the pattern calls for when making the throw size. The right border is the size called for when making the child size of the pattern. Thankfully my cutting issue ended up working out perfectly. I like how it made the blocks sit off center in the negative space.

Plus, the quilt ending up slightly smaller will make it easier for William to walk around the house wrapped in it which he does with every blanket/quilt he uses. While the pattern and shapes might seem intimidating, it comes together easily and quickly.

I haven’t shared a finish here since this past July! I’ve finished a couple things here and there, but it’s been hard to make blogging a priority especially since it doesn’t seem like many people read blogs anymore. Am I even talking to anyone right now, or is this just going out into the internet void? 😅
