Hey y’all! I finished another project. So far I’m on a winning streak for 2022 finishes! This is my Honey Bee 16 Patch Quilt. I made the quilt as a part of the Riley Blake Designs Influencer team, so they provided me with most of the fabrics needed for the project.
The collection is Honey Bee by My Mind’s Eye and it features, you guessed it, honey bees. 🐝🐝🐝 I honestly normally stay away from a collection that is on the edge of being so traditional, but I decided to take a chance with this one and I’m so glad I did!
A 16 patch quilt has been on my must make list for several years, so I finally crossed it off. This design was made with precuts in mind as a way to use up all those Jelly Rolls we have hanging around our stashes.
The only fabric I supplied for this quilt was the backing because I didn’t have enough of my original backing for the project. Thankfully I had a spare king sized sheet in the linen closet and it made the perfect batting, plus it’s been washed a million times and is already super soft!
A simple pattern for this design is on my to-do list. 😉
