WIP Wednesday

I have been pretty busy these past couple of days. Yesterday I showed y’all the adorable quilt I made with a pattern called Grandma’s Lawn Chair. The pattern is by Diane over at from blank pages.

This quilt was a secret until Diane released the pattern, and I am so happy I finally got to share it and be a part of her blog hop & giveaway ๐Ÿ™‚

I still have the same things I have been working on plus a couple more. I completed the center medallion for my Marcelle Medallion quilt and I am in love! Jenn over at Penny Poppleton put together an amazing tutorial on how to make a template for English paper piecing & foundation paper piecing the center medallion.

I LOVE this! It turned out so much better than I was expecting! #mmqal #marcellemedallion

I finally cut into my cherished Constellations half-yard bundle for this, and I am so glad I did. This star is probably one my favorite things I have ever made! I’m in Austin for the week, so I brought my stuff with me hoping to squeeze in some sewing time.

My Shining Stars BOM is still sitting waiting to be finished. I really should do it because I only have 1.5 blocks to finish in order to be able to sew the top together. I keep getting distracted by other project though. I have total quilting ADHD.

My Sisters Ten modern BOM is almost complete! Anne Marie over at Gen X Quilters even had some awesome labels made on Spoonflower. I am so happy I ordered one from her. It is going to look great. Plus I really need to get in the habit of labeling my quilts.

That’s all for me this week. I’m hoping to have a couple tops finished next week! Fingered crossed it happens.

Hilary, I love your medallion and was wondering if anyone's come up with a paper pieced version (I'm obviously behind the times with this one!). How long are you in Austin? I'd love to meet up if you're game ๐Ÿ˜€

I am in love with the lawn chair quilt and the center medallion with the constellations fabric. I can see why the star is one of the favourite things you have ever made. Can't wait to see more.

I love the constellations too, sadly I only bagged a FQ bundle and it's already 1/3 gone. It looks really great in your quilt – what;s the grey texture fabric you're using? Love the combination.

the Grandma's Lawn Chair quilt is so cute, and that fabric is just perfect for the pattern.

Thanks for linking up to Needle and Thread Thursday!
