Milk Cow Kitchen Towel Remix

I feel like I’ve been going a mile a minute recently! It’s been so busy between traveling for QuiltCon, being the Den Leader for my son’s Cub Scout group, and just being a regular mom…. I’m pooped! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Somewhere between all the business I joined Fat Quarter Shop for their Milk Cow Kitchen Towel Remix; because what’s one more item on the to-do list. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is such a quick and easy project, it took me under 30 minutes to finish. I think it took me longer to decide what towel to buy at Target, than it took to get everything sew together. I went with a simple towel that has really pretty beige stitching on one side, and the fabrics I used are an Indah Batik print from me + you & Caf-Fiend print by Ink & Arrow.

Like all their amazing tutorials, Fat Quarter Shop has a video tutorial for this project. The only thing I did differently was to serge the raw edge of the towel when it was cut in half rather than folding it over twice.

I love this project because I’ve been trying to reduce the number of single use items we have in the house, i.e. paper towels, paper plates, single use plastics, etc. So having a regular kitchen towel in a handy place is a good reminder for the members of my family who are less enthusiastic about the change. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy Sewing!
