Stash Statement Blog Hop

Hello everyone! I am so excited you are here to celebrate Kelly’s debut book Stash Statement! Kelly has been one of my online quilting friends for several years and I was honored when she asked for me to be a part of the hop.

Because of a scheduling misunderstanding, today I am sharing a peek at the fabrics I am using to create a mini version of the College Prep quilt. Check back in a couple of days for the finished mini!

I am currently at my parents house and my mom isn’t a quilter, so I swung by Valli & Kim quilt shop and picked up some fabrics. I was inspired to pull red, white, and blue since the 4th of July is in a couple of days.

A few weeks ago at home, I had already started playing around with the improv piecing technique Kelly outlines in the book and it is wonderful. I am some who doesn’t normally improv piece and Kelly’s directions are such a fantastic way to get started.

I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on, and in the mean time please check out all the other amazing quilters that are part of this hop!
