The past couple weeks I have been exhausted with unpacking and getting our new place habitable, and I have been super sad that I have been neglecting blogland. so I figured, what better way to get back into the swing of things than with an entry into this spring’s Blogger’s Quilt Festival.
For my entry in the large quilts category, I have chosen my darling Cosmos Marcelle Medallion. I absolutely adore this quilt, but I think William might use it more than I do. (he’s cute so he can get away with it)
It’s his go to nap time quilt ๐ |
These windblown pictures are great because you can really see the detail of the spiral quilting. I quilted it on my own little machine, and I am so glad I did. The spiral was just what this quilt needed.
The bulk of this quilt was made with Lizzy House Constellations fabric line + some Tula Pink + a bunch of low volume from my stash. I love the monochromatic blues and grays because I feel like it lets the piecing shine through without getting jumbled in super scrappiness.
Quilt Stats:
Name: Cosmos
Size: 60.5″ x 60.5″
Fabric: Lizzy House Constellations + blues and low volumes from my stash
Pattern: Marcelle Medallion from Liberty Love by Alexia Abegg
Quilting: Spiral from the center

wow! This is one of these most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. Seriously. Constellations is one of my favorite lines (that I never got any of :(, but I digress). I love this.
Love it. Hope you're new home is a happy one for you and all the family ๐
Great work – that's a gorgeous Marcelle!
